Demonstrator: Jane Fox |
| Christmas began with presents with Jane making two large white, silver and black designs on top of two boxes tied with big bows. Then she talked about Christmas bells at her local churches so the next designs had huge wicker bells and white flowers with gold accessories. Icicles were the theme of the next arrangement inspired by a huge icicles she had one Christmas on her house, so there were frosty twigs, white flowers, icicles and lights. |
The next design was to depict the snow on the mountains
and the children sledging down.
Jane used some large triangles from which she hung
two subtly coloured flowers including two beautiful lilac
and green ornamental cabbages.
The evening ended with the raffle when those who won an arrangement were left wondering how they were going to get it in their car. Doris, our Honorary Member aged 99 years, was thrilled when she won a beautiful design and so was everyone else!
The Club has had a very good year with increased membership and some excellent demonstrations and practical evenings. We are holding our AGM on 7th January to which everyone is welcome. Next year will be our 40th Anniversary and we are planning some special events to celebrate watch this space.
