12 September 2021 To all my friends at Clophill and District Flower Club - September Newsletter I know how much you have all enjoyed receiving a monthly newsletter from me during the past 18 months and I realise that it is a very useful way to keep in touch with everyone, so I will continue so that I can keep you all informed of news, events and developments within NAFAS. Our next full meeting will be on 7th October - 'The Garden in the Sky’ The demonstrator will be Arnaud Metairie, who has - been highly recommended and is featured regularly on YouTube. He is French but has no accent! I hope that you will all feel confident to come back to the Club and enjoy meeting up with friends again. All safety precautions will be taken. We will be having our usual Charity Table to support Wigs for Teenagers with cancer. Unfortunately Joan who has organised the table for years is unable to attend the Club at the moment but the Charity Table will still be there for you to browse. 4th November Fiona Harrison will be demonstrating. She has won many prizes recently in Area competitions and also at Blenheim Palace show 2nd December Lorena Dyer will be returning to entertain us for Christmas ALL meetings will be free to all paid-up members - £5 non-members Home Counties Area AGM, lunch and demonstration 19th November Due to the current situation we are holding this lovely occasion at High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon where there is excellent parking and facilities. Tickets for the day will be £35 including lunch and I know it will be good to have the opportunity to have a social day out in lovely surroundings. Home Counties Area of NAFAS Winter Virtual Competition - Title ‘Winter Celebrations’ We are holding another on-line flower arranging competition for members of Home Counties. Entries should be emailed to Rekha Naidoo ( Media Officer) to the email address below from Monday 22nd November to Tuesday 7th December The photographs will be collated into a file and sent numbered anonymously to Area Judges. An exhibit . Fresh plant material should predominate but artificial material is permitted. Size 60cm x 60cm x 90 cm height. The design should be photographed with a plain background. Please email to [email protected] by 7th December using 'Winter Celebrations' as the subject Please include your name, telephone number and your Flower Club With my very best wishes
